Quick start: your first book link

Here is the full path from a new account to a live author page with smart buy links. Each step below tells you exactly where to click.

Step 1 - Create your account

Sign up with your email address or with Google. Your name becomes your page address (for example /author/your-name). You can change both your display name and your address later under Settings, so nothing here is final.

Step 2 - Add your first book

1. In the left menu, open Books and click the "Add book" button in the top-right corner.

2. Paste the full Amazon link of your book (open your book on Amazon and copy the address bar) and click Fetch.

3. Check the preview: we pull in the title, cover and ISBN automatically. If you already have collections, you can tick one to add the book to it right away.

4. Click "Add book". Done - the book now has a smart buy link that sends every reader to their own local Amazon store.

Step 3 - Design your author page

1. Open Page Editor in the left menu.

2. The middle of the screen is a live preview of your page. Hover between blocks and click the ⊕ that appears to insert a block at that exact spot.

3. A hero (your name and tagline), an "About the author" section and a bookshelf are a great starting layout.

4. Click any block in the preview to open its settings on the right: texts, images, colors, fonts and more.

Step 4 - Publish

Use Preview in the top bar to see your page exactly as visitors will, then press Publish. You can keep editing afterwards - saved changes appear on the live page right away.

Step 5 - Share your link

Copy your author page address and share it everywhere: social media bios, your email signature, the back of your book. For individual books, the Books list has a copy button for each book’s short link - ideal for print and video.

Every buy button now automatically sends readers to their local Amazon store. From here, explore QR codes and analytics.
